❔ Model
Plan your model and the building blocks you’ll need
Overview
Simulation models are built up from modular components, which can be combined in different ways to represent the system being modelled. In this session, you’ll learn how to plan your model and identify the building blocks you’ll need to create it.
🎯 Learning objectives
By the end of this session, you should be able to:
- Take your system map and understand which simulation building blocks are needed to represent it
- Plan the structure of your model, including the key components and their relationships
- Start to think about what drives your model (randomness, rules, and logic) and how to represent it
📖 Before the session
Please complete the pre-learning materials (tbc). These typically take 60 – 90 minutes and are essential for getting the most out of the session.
